Whether your together for thirty years or just a year… being in a relationship is hard work. These 3 things will help keeping your relationship healthy and steady.

  1. Never take him or her for granted

Once you’re settled into a relationship, things can get into a bit of a rut. You get used to the fact that he or she is always there for you. And that your partner does great things in your home and at work. Being financially stable, take care of the children. These are things you can take for granted when you’re are in a long-term relationship.

Not getting noticed for the things you do is possibly the most horrible feeling in the world. You want to feel appreciated. Enjoy the feeling that there’s someone there who loves you no matter what and notice all the things you do. That’s why being aware of all the wonderful things your partner does is very important. This can be as simple as thanking him or her for washing the dishes or complimenting your partner when they look good.

  1. Spice things up in the bedroom

Sex isn’t the most important thing in your relationship, but a relationship without intimacy will not last. After a few years of being in a relationship with the same partner, you may notice that things can get into a bit of a rut. Using the same sex positions, doing the same thing every time you find the time to finally have sex. That’s why it’s important to keep experimenting in the bedroom. Spicing things up in the bedroom can be done in lots of different way. By example using sex toys, such as a such as a dildo or vibrator. Or by dressing yourself in an exciting outfit. These are just little things, but they can have an enormous effect on your sex life.

  1. Admit when you’re wrong

Even in the best relationships discussions can occur. This can’t be avoided while being in a healthy relationship. Just try to talk about the thing you discussed about when you’ve both cooled off. And try to admit when you’re wrong. You’ll gain your partners respect while doing this. It’s good to say what you think, but it’s also good to admit when you’ve got things wrong.
