Cranbrook to Host First eat:Festival Food and Drink Event

eat:Festivals will be hosting a food and drink festival in Cranbrook on Sunday 13 September 2026.

The festival will be happening in the heart of the town, on and surrounding the Tillhouse Road. eat:Festivals are a small social enterprise who have been delivering one day food and drink festivals in towns across the south-west for over 13 years. Come Dine with Me contestants wanted

The Channel 4 hit show Come Dine With Me is back for a new daytime series.

Over five days five strangers, from all walks of life, take turns to host the perfect dinner party for each other.

At the end of the week the best host wins a £1,000 cash prize.

Show producers are looking for people over 18 from the Exeter or surrounding area, with a passion for cooking who want to demonstrate their skills.

First Great Western and award-winning seafood chef and restauranteur, Mitch Tonks, have today launched an all new lunch and dinner menu for the UK’s only daily fine dining rail service, the Pullman - available on ten services daily.

According to a new poll by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), 17% of people in the South West have had a dating disaster on Valentine’s Day and, across the UK, bad restaurant experiences are responsible for a third (34%) of all nightmare nights out.

34% of daters in the South West report that getting food poisoning from a restaurant is the worst thing that could happen to them on Valentine’s Day – even ahead of being dumped (28%). Despite this, 37% don’t check the food hygiene rating of a restaurant before booking their Valentine’s meal.
