Exeter Library’s Business and Intellectual Property (IP) Centre is offering people the chance to meet two Fairtrade farmers from Ghana and a local jeweller at its Fairtrade Fortunes event on 7th March, as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Cocoa producers Isaac Baidoo and Veronica Mintah from Kuapa Kokoo, a cocoa farmers' co-operative, will be talking about their businesses and revealing how Fairtrade has impacted their lives in West Africa.

Unique taste of France heading to Devon village

A UNIQUE taste of France is heading to Devon, via a beautiful old French camper van, which has been converted to a restaurant…seating just four people.

Award-winning restaurant La Petite Bouchée, will move from its London base to the village of Witheridge at the end of the month.

Food hygiene ratings for city takeaways amongst best in country

A new study has revealed that food hygiene standards at takeaways and sandwich shops in the Exeter City area are amongst the best in the country.

With 86.6% of its applicable businesses rated either good (4) or very good (5), Exeter City was found to be well above the national average of 71.9%.

The Food Standards Agency website holds the data from inspections carried out by each local authority under the Food Hygiene Ratings Scheme. Every business that serves food is awarded with a hygiene rating between 0 and 5 following an inspection.

LWC Drinks and Old J Spiced Rum have recently hosted six of Devon and Cornwall’s top bartenders in a cocktail-making competition at the 2017 Source Trade Show.
