Christmas is coming, and so are all the relatives and friends. Devon residents might be delighted to see their guests, but may be fretting that they just can’t cope with all the cooking this will mean. Our local Devon Chef, Tim Harris, may be able to help.

Tim says "I know what it's like when you want to relax and spend time with friends or the family, but you're also worrying about what to feed them".

Tim is generally known for running the successful cookery classes and demonstrating cooking at local events – Quickes’ Devon Apple Day and the community markets to name but two. But over the festive season he is offering a tailor made personal chef service to people in Devon.

“I can supply meals made to your specifications, delivered when you need them. This can be really useful in that period between Christmas and New Year when you've done the 'big cook'. The dishes can either be delivered ready to eat, or frozen/chilled until you need them, with instructions about re-heating.”

Examples of what he can provide include beef casserole, shepherd's pie, Thai-style curry, various Indian dishes, pork and apple pie, clementine cake and chocolate tart. Tim’s speciality is using locally sourced produce to make interesting, exciting dishes at reasonable cost.

“But the whole point is that I can tailor the meals to what you and your friends and family want”. If your guests are just mum for dinner, or all the aunties and uncles from around the world, he is happy to help. He can cater for various allergies as well as providing vegetarian dishes.

Costs range from about £4 for a starter to £6.50 for a main course. Call on 07980 287122, email info@devonchef.co.uk or look at his website www.devonchef.co.uk
