Award-winning cafe for Museum of the Year

Winner of the Taste of the West Gold Award for Cafe-Restaurant 2012, Otterton Mill, will be providing visitors to Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) with a new menu of light meals and refreshments from Friday 30 November.

"We are delighted to have been offered this opportunity to run the RAMM Cafe" said Simon Spiller who runs Otterton Mill with wife Caroline. "As café owners, we feel lucky to operate in Devon. We are surrounded by great ingredients, wonderful growers and hard working farmers & fishermen. Our idea and ethos is to celebrate these ingredients and our ancient milling heritage with an exciting range of wholesome and sustainable dishes and drinks and we can't wait to do this at the Museum as well"

The RAMM Cafe by Otterton Mill will open on Friday, 30th November, after a three day closure and hand-over from Dartmoor Kitchen who have run the cafe for the past year. Dartmoor Kitchen decided to relinquish the contract in order to focus on their highly successful event catering business and pie business, known as Tom's Pies.  "Fans of Tom's Pies will be pleased to hear they will continue to feature on the menu at the Museum since they taste great and the ingredients are sustainably sourced" added Simon.
