If your family is affected by severe allergies then one of these free workshops is for you! Both workshops are being held at The Rougemont Hotel.

Education Minister announces reform to cut childcare costs

Elizabeth Truss, the education minister, is giving a speech this morning announcing plans to overhaul childcare rules. According to the new rules, nurseries and childminders in England are to be allowed to look after more children per adult in an attempt to cut childcare costs and boost standards.

Exeter City’s Football in the Community charity is extending the range of its popular children’s football roadshows for the upcoming February half term.

There will be four different events in Exeter, plus courses in Exmouth, Sidmouth, Crediton, Tiverton, Honiton, Feniton, Okehampton and Barnstaple.

Mother and daughter team Diane Antone and Tamsin Scott are bringing to Exeter their ten-years of expertise from running their own, independent After-School Tuition Centre in East Sussex.

Located at 13 Queen's Terrace, right beside the Clock Tower and with a car park just opposite, their Centre will open to teach maths and English to ages 4 to 18 on 25th February.

New activities for young people in Exmouth

Devon County Council's Devon Youth Service in Exmouth is starting new Wednesday evening sessions for people in school years seven and eight.

Between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, the Hive youth centre on Imperial Road is arranging activities including arts and crafts, table tennis, hall games, karaoke, cooking and more.

The sessions are run by two qualified youth workers with young volunteers.
