Pensioner bonds availability to be extended

Chancellor George Osborne has (8 February 2015) announced the government will extend the availability of its hugely popular 65 plus pensioner bonds.

Highlighting latest sales figures which show it has seen the biggest sale of any retail financial product in Britain’s modern history, the Chancellor confirmed that the pensioner bonds will now be on sale for 4 months, until 15 May 2015, so that everyone who wants to invest can do so.

People interested in becoming foster carers are invited to attend an information event run by Foster Care Associates (FCA) at Sainsbury's Pinhoe store in Exeter on Wednesday 11 February, 10am-2pm.

Hundreds of foster families needed in SW

At least 550 new foster families are needed across the South West region during 2015 to provide stable, secure and loving homes for record numbers of fostered children, according to figures released today from The Fostering Network. Each day sees over 63,000 children living with over 52,500 foster families in homes across the UK. Pioneering Exeter primary goes global

An Exeter primary school is fostering pioneering international links with schools across Europe. Redhills primary school already has established links with Tanzania. Now it is fostering new links with Spain and Latvia.

Redhills has been linked with the Andres Garcia Soler School in Andalucía in Spain and Rigas Klasiska gimnazija in Latvia’s largest city, Riga.

It’s not just adults who can enjoy the mud at RockSolid Race

In March, RockSolid Race is returning to Escot Park but this time it’s not only the adults who get to have all the fun. Children aged between 5 and 13 years can take part in the Yeo Valley Rock Stars – a mini obstacle course.
