Families for Children Patron Michael Caines celebrates ongoing partnership with Devon’s Crealy

Families for Children (FFC) Patron Michael Caines MBE and his family officially celebrated and launched the ongoing partnership with Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park as they embark on a second year of fundraising and support.

Following the generous donation of £7,500 worth of family passes to FFC adoptive families, Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park have enabled FFC to hold a number of respite days at the park for some of the charity's most 'in need' children and teenagers.  In addition to providing a welcome break for their adoptive parents, these days enable the children to let off steam in a friendly, safe environment.

Michael Caines MBE, Patron of Families for Children said, “The support of top attractions like Crealy is invaluable and really makes a difference to the families we work with. We’re really excited to be continuing to work with Crealy for a second year and have lots in the pipeline to make it just as successful as the first!”

In 2012, multi award winning attraction Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park hosted and organised a number of special events working with FFC, including a magnificent fireworks display with musical entertainment from local star Adam Isaac. Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park is already planning a number of fundraising events and activities for this season working with the charity, due to be announced in the coming months.

Ally Colton, Fundraiser for the Charity said "The Crealy team have really taken on board the needs of our children and do everything they can to make our visits fun.  Sometimes this means just listening to a child who wants to tell you what a good time they are having, sometimes it's having the patience to persevere with a child who won't communicate.”

Ally continues, “I have been so impressed with how the Crealy team have taken the time to learn about each child and to work with us - it's a great partnership as both FFC and Crealy are all about families and fun.  I have even had one young boy email me to thank me for being so fantastic and building Crealy for Families for Children!  I didn't like to disillusion him!"

Chris Down, Chief Executive of Crealy Great Adventure Parks said, “It was great to welcome Michael Caines and his family to the park for the day to celebrate the ongoing charity partnership we have with Families for Children. Raising awareness and funds is fundamental to this relationship and we’re set to work just as hard in the second year of our partnership, building on the success of 2012.”
