Former Exeter City footballer, Bob Rackley, made an emotional return to St James Park for the first time in more than six decades, supported by the team at Claremont Manor Care Home, Dawlish - part of the Maria Mallaband Care Group.

Bob played for Exeter City between 1958 and 1960, and this visit to watch Exeter City take on Huddersfield Town marked his first live football match in many years.

Law firm Wollens have teamed up with the Exeter City Community Trust to support a project where sporting memories are brought back to life.

CITY Community Trust, Exeter’s leading health and wellbeing charity working in partnership with Exeter City Football Club, runs a special Sporting Memories Club at St James Park.

It is open to men, aged over 50, who enjoy reminiscing about the old times – watching or playing – and sharing those treasured memories over a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

More exciting opportunities to celebrate Exeter City Football Club’s incredible history announced

An exciting series of exhibitions, films and events celebrating the incredible history of Exeter City Football Club has been announced.

Thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, a third funding award from The National Lottery Heritage Fund will support the creation of several new events, including the ECFC Museum Trust photography exhibition, which charts the visual history of the club from the post-war era to the present day.

Ryan Bowman’s early goal earned Exeter City a 1-0 win at St James Park over Mansfield Town in the Sky Bet League Two.

Nicky Law's late winner helped Exeter City to a 3-2 win over Morecambe at the Globe Arena in Sky Bet League Two.

City took a two-goal lead through Jake Taylor and Lee Martin before the home side rallied to draw level with two goals from substitute Lewis Alessandra, but Law was on hand to finish in the 85th minute to secure the win.

A late goal from Eion Doyle prevented Exeter City from maintaining their perfect start to the season in a 1-1 draw at home to Swindon Town.

Exeter City exited the Carabao Cup at the first round stage with a 4-1 defeat at St Andrew's against Coventry City.

Noah Smerdon signs for Exeter City with help of 1931 Fund

Noah Smerdon is delighted to have secured a move to Exeter City after the 1931 Fund helped provide an undisclosed fee to West Bromwich Albion for the youngster.

The 18-year-old spent time with the Baggies within their youth setup but departed the Hawthorns and joined Gloucester City in 2017.

For their part in Noah’s development West Brom are entitled to a fee for the youngster upon his move St James Park, andwith the help of the 1931 Fund, the club have been able to acquire the services of the defender.
