Exeter Chiefs may have cranked up the gears in recent weeks, but head coach Ali Hepher says his side can ill afford to take their foot off the pedal as they rev themselves up for a crucial month ahead in the Gallagher Premiership.

Back-to-back wins over Sale Sharks in the Heineken Champions Cup not only extended the Chiefs winning streak to five games, but allowed them to move within touching distance of the knockout phases of Europe for only the second time in the club's history.

Champions Cup matters, however, have now been put on the back burner until next month and it's...

Rob Baxter insists he and his senior coaches are excited about what the future holds, after it was confirmed they have all agreed terms on new deals to stay at the Exeter Chiefs.

Director of Rugby Baxter, together with head coach Ali Hepher, forwards coach Rob Hunter and skills coach Ricky Pellow, have all committed to stay with the Devon club until 2023.

Since coming together, the quartet have helped mastermind the rise of the Chiefs, guiding them to Premiership Rugby glory in 2017, as well as three other appearances in the end of season showpiece at Twickenham.

At...

Chiefs side to face Sale Sharks

At the start of the season Rob Baxter made no secret of the fact that conquering Europe would be a key objective for his Exeter Chiefs side this season.

Having proved their worth for a number of years domestically in the Gallagher Premiership, the Heineken Champions Cup has proved more troublesome for the Devonians, who have made it to the knock-out stages only once in the past.

Three rounds into this year’s competition, the Chiefs are certainly living up to Baxter’s pre-tournament pledge. Three successive victories over La Rochelle, Glasgow Warriors and Sale Sharks - two...

Cooper joins Chiefs on loan

Exeter Chiefs have moved to strengthen their options at hooker by agreeing a loan move for Newcastle Falcons forward Kyle Cooper.

With club captain Jack Yeandle sidelined with a broken arm, plus fellow No.2 Jack Innard also out following shoulder surgery, Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, has wasted little time in addressing the issue by bringing in the 30-year-old South African until the end of March.

Signed in the summer of 2016 from Super Rugby side the Sharks, Cooper’s arrival will also help supplement any potential call-ups or rest period for England international Luke...

Chiefs side to face Wasps

Rob Baxter believes his Exeter Chiefs owe the Sandy Park faithful a performance, given their last outing in the Gallagher Premiership against Bristol Bears ended in disappointment.

Back-to-back victories in the Heineken Champions Cup against La Rochelle and Glasgow Warriors have given the Devonians the dream start to their latest European campaign, but it’s domestic matters which take centre stage for Baxter and his squad this week.

Tomorrow, they welcome old adversaries Wasps to Devon looking to build on those successes, whilst at the same time looking to return to winning...

Exeter Chiefs have bolstered their squad with the signing of Argentinian prop Enrique Pieretto until the end of the season.

Chiefs’ Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, has moved swiftly to capture the 24-year-old forward following injuries to fellow tight-heads Tomas Francis and Greg Holmes.

Francis suffered a serious shoulder injury during Wales’ Rugby World Cup semi-final against South Africa in Japan and is now likely to be sidelined for up to four months following surgery.

Holmes, meanwhile, has been out of action with a troublesome Achilles injury since Exeter’s...

Hogg happy to be thrown in at the deep end

Stuart Hogg says he’s relishing being thrown in at the deep end ahead of his Exeter Chiefs debut against Bath in the Gallagher Premiership tomorrow night (7:45pm).

Rob Baxter will thrust the Scottish international straight into the fray for his new club at The Rec, less than two weeks after he arrived in Devon from his exertions with the national side at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Having watched on from the sidelines as last season’s beaten Premiership finalists kicked off their season with a hard-fought win over Harlequins, the 27-year-old is one of five changes Baxter...

Chiefs side to face Bath

Rob Baxter has called for a greater focus from his Exeter Chiefs side this week, despite kicking off their Gallagher Premiership campaign with victory over Harlequins last Saturday.

Tomorrow, Devon's finest make the short trip to local rivals Bath, looking to build on what was a hard-fought triumph in their seasonal opener.

Jonny Hill's first half touchdown, combined with 17 points from the boot of fly-half Joe Simmonds, proved sufficient enough to see of the Londoners at Sandy Park. However, Director of Rugby Baxter is looking for another step up in standards from his...

Chiefs side to face Bristol Bears

Rob Baxter believes tomorrow's Premiership Rugby Cup clash with local rivals Bristol Bears at Sandy Park (3pm) offer a number of exciting challenges for his Exeter Chiefs squad.

Firstly, there is the small matter of a semi-final spot being up for grabs for his side, who currently head Pool C entering into the final round of qualification.

Secondly, local bragging rights will be very much up for grabs in this 'Derby Day' encounter and, most importantly, the game offers the players a final chance to stake their claim ahead of next week's Gallagher Premiership opener against...
