Free Cider and Summer Tunes Come to Devon with a Music Series from Thatchers Cider

Free pints, live music and summer vibes

Thatchers is set to delight music and cider fans heading into venues and pubs across the summer with a national 40+ gig series that will visit Devon throughout August.

A mix of Juicy Sounds DJ nights and Summer Sessions acoustic evenings will be held to celebrate what promises to be a summer filled, not just with sport, but with music too.

Events are currently planned for:

The Blue Ball in Exeter on Friday 7th August.
Boathouse, Dawlish, Saturday 8th August.

Theatre group seeks WW1 families

A theatre group in Devon is calling on local families to try and trace living relatives of soldiers who died in the First World War.

Six names are inscribed on Silverton’s war memorial and the Mid Devon village’s dramatic group are focusing on them for their next production.

This will be performed in February 2014 to mark the centenary of The Great War.

BBC Question Time’s David Dimbleby has revealed that he has got his first tattoo at age 75.

The presenter of the long-running political commentary show has had a “modest sized” tattoo of a scorpion representing his star sign, scorpio.

He made the decision whilst filming his latest programme, ‘Britain and the Sea’ which featured a section about sailors bringing tattooing to Britain.
