Following Mick Escott’s first two books about Football League Grounds and Anglican Cathedrals, he has taken a step in yet another direction and produced his third book, Round The Footlights: The Unofficial Theatre Tour.

In recognition of Round The Footlights, the Bike Shed Theatre is holding an interactive event on Saturday 10 October at midday, during which Mick will be interviewed. Audience members will be asked to wear stickers representing their personal favourite performance spaces.

Having enjoyed a hugely successful run in Edinburgh with 1972: The Future of Sex, for which they won the Stage Award for Acting Excellence, The Wardrobe Ensemble are now collaborating with The Bike Shed Theatre in Exeter on a brand new show. Set in the bombed ruins of an Exeter restaurant in 1944 the story follows a daring young girl who discovers a magical golden whisk and unleashes its ancient curse.

As she scurries into the underworld in an attempt to find a cure, Eloise undertakes extraordinary feats whilst being chased by a rabble of gold-hungry gangsters.
