On Wednesday 15 March, award winning developer Renaissance Villages launched an exhibition on the history of the site of Millbrook Village, Exeter’s only retirement village.

The event also marked the official opening of Buller House, a new collection of 23 two-bedroom luxury apartments, the latest phase of homes to be released at this sought-after development.

Joining the Lemonfest bill is Blues influenced Singer/Songwriter Liam Bailey, who co-wrote and performed on Chase & Status’ single Blind Faith in 2011, as well as having collaborated in the past with other huge names such as DJ Fresh, SHY FX and Delilah. Not to mention his own catalogue of success across the last 10 years.

Yachtsman to speak about ‘Mutiny’ adventure

A yachtsman who helped recreate an epic voyage for a new Channel 4 documentary will give a talk at the University of Exeter later this month.

Exeter-born Conrad Humphreys stars in Mutiny, in which a team re-live Captain Bligh’s voyage of survival after the mutiny on the Bounty.

The programme follows nine men as they attempt a 4,000-mile trip on a tiny wooden boat using traditional navigation equipment and surviving off the same meagre rations as Bligh’s crew.

Humphreys will speak about leadership, camaraderie, courage and humility on the high seas.

Exeter Northcott Theatre is looking for local children to join the cast of its recently announced family pantomime Dick Whittington.

The theme for Chagstock 2017 will be Spies & Dolls, in honour of organiser Si Ford's mother, ‘the original Miss MonyPenny’ who passed away late last year.
