Budleigh Music Festival strikes emotional chord with concertgoers

From the opening notes of the community choral day to the uplifting finale of the London African Gospel Choir, Budleigh Music Festival celebrated its 20th anniversary in style.

Taking place in the beautiful St Peter’s Church, the festival delivered world-class classical performances, inclusive community events, and stunning moments of musical magic.

Tiff Stevenson brings her critically acclaimed 8th solo show Bombshell on tour across the UK in 2018.

Bombshell premiered at the Edinburgh Festival’s Gilded Balloon last August and is her most political show yet. The tour starts on 1 March and includes a performance at Exeter's Bike Shed Theatre on 18 March.

Some say she oscillates wildly between Sylvia Plath & Beyonce, “like Belva Lockwood fused with your drunken Aunt.” (Edinburgh 49+3) Tiff says she’s very very funny and a right old smarty-pants. She also says she’s very, very, very modest.

Many opportunities to learn about birds with the Countryside team this year

Throughout the coming year, there are a number of events taking place at Seaton Wetlands to help you learn more about birds.

Events taking place at Seaton Wetlands in January include ‘What’s that bird?’ and bird ringing demonstrations.

BAFTA-nominated Dani Harmer, and Archers legend Graham Seed open Exeter Rep's season with ' Twelfth Night', running 7th to 24th February at the intimate Barnfield Theatre.

Dani played the hugely popular Tracy Beaker from 2002 to 2012 in the CBBC programmes T he Story of Tracy Beaker, Tracy Beaker Returns and Tracey Beaker Survival Files . Her stage credits also include The Who's Tommy in the West End and the title character in Peter. In Beauty and the Beast, this season’s pantomime at the Barnfield Theatre, Exeter Little Theatre Company deliver a festive theatrical treat which manages to combine the traditional with the contemporary and acting grass roots with the professional.

Flower Festival: In Our Element at Crediton Parish Church

The Crediton Parish Church Flower Festival is one of the main fundraising events for the upkeep of Holy Cross and many people from our parishes work to make it a very special and memorable week.

The 2018 Festival has the intriguing title ‘In Our Element’ and runs from 10.30am on Saturday 2nd June until 5 pm on Thursday 7th June.

Work towards the 2018 Flower Festival began as soon as the 2017 Festival ended. The title of the last Festival was ‘What’s the Point’, and a big talking point was a rhino in the church.
