Double Bill of Comedy Plays with Supper

Two Fat Men features Duncan and George who have been forced by their wives to attend Weight Busters. Surrounded by women and waiting for the meeting to start they think that they know each other. Join them on a hilarious journey of discovery. Stop and Run is the story of Eileen, a lonely pensioner who, much to the horror of her family finds love at a holiday camp bingo hall. Bring the Happy Live
Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 8pm, The Met Office, Exeter
Bring the Happy is an ongoing project about happiness, an attempt to map moments and memories of happiness in Exeter and across the country. Over the last three weeks people have been submitting their own happy memory or moment to add to the ever-growing database of the country's happiness. The memories collected are being transformed into Bring the Happy Live, a spectacular performance. Somewhere between a wedding and a wake, the live performance promises to be an interactive, intimate and highly moving evening where you can join others celebrating the happiness of Exeter. Comedy Hall: Alan Carr - Work in Progress

Mairi Campbell with Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll

Mairi Campbell is a Scottish singer and musician, born and raised in Edinburgh.  Mairi has been  praised for her singing voice and musical skills, and has won several prizes. Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll are two of the leading lights of the new generation of folk artists, specialising in traditional and  contemporary English music on fiddles and voices, with a particular emphasis on tunes from the South West. Salsa Celtica

Spring Bach Concert: St John Passion

Exeter Bach Society and Orchestra perform JS Bach's sacred oratorio the St John Passion, a dramatic representation of the Passion as told in the Gospel of John. Director of music is David Davies. The BIG Cake Show

The biggest cake event the South West has ever seen brings a whole host of exhibitors offering the latest in cake, baking and decorating supplies. Exeter Open Studios 2014
Friday & Saturady, Double Elephant Print Workshop, Exeter Phoenix
Liberation & Freedom through Printmaking. As part of Exeter Open Studios 2014, seven local printmakers will be featured in a lively exhibition at Double Elephant Print Workshop, at Exeter Phoenix on Friday and Saturday (28 and 29 March) from 11am to 6pm. Alongside the seven featured artists, many of Double Elephant Print Workshop’s 90 members will be contributing artwork for the exhibition too. There will be a wide range of styles offering something for everyone, from traditional to more experimental, large and small scale works. This exhibition is open between 11am and 6pm.

Recollection Exhibition
Thelma Hulbert Gallery, Dowell Street, Honiton
Amongst the exhibits, Recollection sees the return to THG of two of Jenni Dutton’s astounding large scale ‘Dementia Darnings’, portraits of her mother woven in wool and thread. Also featuring are other artworks including the memory tubes of Jo Saurin and Sophie Bower’s ‘Stories of Memory’, part of her ongoing investigation into what triggers involuntary memory. Free admission but donations welcomed. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-5pm, Recollection runs until 19 April. www.thelmahulbert.com

Artist Rooms: Gilbert & George
RAMM, Queen Street, Exeter
RAMM presents the art of Gilbert & George as part of the national ARTIST ROOMS programme. Gilbert & George are among the most celebrated artists to have emerged from the art scene in the late 1960s and this exhibition represents several major aspects of the artists’ career from 1969 to 1991. Philip Clayton and Chris Prindl
The Art Room, Fore Street, Topsham
Featuring oil paintings by Philip Clayton including scenes from London, France and Devon and ceramics by Chris Prindl.  The Art Room is open on Wednesday, Sunday and bank holidays, 11am-5pm and this exhibition runs until 27 April. www.theartroomtopsham.co.uk
