The Arcade Exeter is reopening this weekend at its new home on Fore Street, on the site formally known as The Crossbar.

The retro gaming feel venue opens its doors on Saturday (5 August), kicking off  with a massive 90's style club event.

The 90’s are a decade that will go down in history as the times when British music reclaimed its spot at the top of the chain in dominating world music.

Unlike other events which seem to concentrate on the commercial side of chart music from that era, Cool Britannia celebrates the whole decade in every genre out there concentrating on the big tunes abd anthems of each genre, be it the birth of modern dance music in the early years from such sub genres as House, Rave & Dn’B whilst exploded into the mainstream in the early part of the 90’s to those iconic bands that really set the tone from Britpop to grunge or the soulful and chilled sounds of Rn’B or TripHop that took over the world in the later years.

Of course this will be expertly mixed with the biggest tunes from the charts that people might not remember until they hit their ears but will then be singing along at the tops of their voices.

Although the this event is a celebration of 90’s British music it was a decade of amazing acts in all styles from around the world and they will all be blasted out as we aim to keep the dance floor jumping.

Open from 10pm.
