On The Road Music Festival have announced that well-loved rock band Reef will be headlining their festival this year. With classics such as Place your Hands and songs from their latest album Revelation this band are sure to get everyone in the Big Top up and dancing.

On The Road Music Fest is a 3-day event held in Braunton at the end of August. It is a family friendly festival, where festival goers can enjoy great music, fabulous street food and a heart-warming community vibe. It’s one big party and just what you need to round off the summer.

Established by local musicians Amy Newton and Simon Murfet from Saunton Road Studios with friends Andy and Mimi McAuley in 2017, On The Road Music Fest is now in its third year. The Festival has brought bands such as The Wholls and The Drop to North Devon as well as showcasing local talent such as Jim Jones, Sam Green, Ragamuffins and Katie and Sophie Kerslake. Up and coming, local, bands such as Shake the Geek, Stellar Fox and Idol Giants have also been given a platform to showcase their talents. This year offers even more great music. Supporting Reef, we have Red Racer, The Barefoot Bandits, Dave Smale & Ryann Snow and many more.

The Kids’ Rock tent is always a big pull, allowing children big and small to have go themselves with drumming, guitar and ukulele workshops as well as stretch and sing sessions. There is also an open mic session giving festival goers the chance to get up and perform themselves. Movez Maniax Youth Circus bring their energy and colour to the kids’ area offering circus workshops and a craft and Lego tent; and All Skate will be back with a new and improved skate ramp offering coaching and tips to skaters both new and experienced.

Studio 24, the festival’s own disco in a cabin will be making a come-back and this year there will be a dance tent with DJ’s such as Cakeboy and Martin Badder. Also new to the site this year is New Coast Event’s cocktail bus where festival goers can relax on the top deck with a cocktail soaking up the party atmosphere.
