Bear Grylls and the team at the newly named Nature Valley Gone Wild Festival are excited to reveal that there are three new chart-topping bands on the festival programme, even more thrilling activities and a partnership with Nature Valley. Planning is ramping up and the countdown is on to the most memorable family outdoor event to take place in Devon this year!

Pop legend Melanie C joins the headliners at Powderham Castle with an energetic set. Having co-written 11 UK number ones (more than any other female artist in chart history) she remains the only female performer to top the charts as a solo artist, as part of a duo, quartet and quintet!

With Bear Grylls being the scouting movements’ “Chief Scout” there was one “must-have” band for the lineup - the aptly named, Scouting For Girls. With eight top 40 singles, sales of over 2,000,000 records and over 500m streams to their name, fans will love the chance to see them live.

Festival-goers will also get the chance to dance along with Morcheeba on the chilled out Sunday afternoon. Their mix of electronic hip hop, rock and folk will be the perfect accompaniment to a great weekend.

Younger guests won’t be left out, as CBBC favourites Andy & The Odd Socks and Dick & Dom will also take to the stage during the bank holiday weekend.

The soundtrack to Nature Valley Gone Wild Festival will be packed with toe-tapping anthems that you can’t resist singing along to. These artists join existing headliners Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight and Ministry Of Sound Orchestra. Guests will enjoy feel-good summer vibes dancing to this awesome line up as the sun sets over Powderham Castle.

What sets this festival apart from the others is that, as well as a stellar music programme, there are a whole host of exciting activities for the whole family to get involved in. Festival-goers can get inspired by world-famous explorers and adventurers, who will be giving talks and leading activities. New to the festival are;

  • Sky News Presenter and ex SAS soldier, Phil Campion who will be running SAS Airsoft
  • Wildlife conservationist and filmmaker, James Glancy who will be offering wildlife filming workshops
  • TV broadcaster and marine biologist, Monty Halls.
  • World record-breaking explorer and endurance athlete, George Bullard
  • The youngest female to have rowed the Atlantic, Jasmine Harrison
  • The “Magic Marine” from Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Final, James Stott
  • Big Wave Surfer, Andrew Cotton and fitness expert, Andrew Blake
