Weekly rep continues at the Manor Pavilion Theatre in Sidmouth this week with the arrival of the tenth production of 2015, Boeing Boeing by Marc Camoletti.

The classic farce will play from Thursday 3 to Wednesday 9 September 2015.

The Summer Rep Season sees one company of actors present a season of twelve classic revivals throughout summer, with a new production each week until the end of September.

It’s the 1960s, and swinging bachelor Bernard couldn't be happier: a flat in Paris and three gorgeous stewardesses all engaged to him without knowing about each other. But Bernard’s perfect life gets bumpy when his friend Robert comes to stay and a new and speedier Boeing jet throws off all of his carefully scheduled rendezvous. Soon all three stewardesses are in town simultaneously, timid Robert is forgetting which lies to tell to whom, and catastrophe looms.

Written by Marc Camoletti, the English language adaptation by Beverley Cross was first staged in London at the Apollo Theatre in 1962 and transferred to the Duchess Theatre in 1965, running for a total of seven years. In 1991, the play was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most performed French play throughout the world.

The cast features Chris Casey as Bernard Lawrence, Gary Roe as Robert Reed, Stephanie Willson as Gabriella, Sarah Dungworth as Gloria, Sarah Dearlove as Gretchen and Danielle Coombe as Bertha.
