The Crediton Parish Church Flower Festival has introduced some unusual visitors to the church in the last few years.

In 2016 a 1929 Austin car was part of the exhibits with flowers and last year a rhino became part of a flower display. More information, including photos and videos of previous Flower Festivals can be seen on the Flower Festival Facebook page www.facebook.com/creditonparishchurchfestivals.

Flowers will arrive this week from Covent Garden and from local flower producers in the Southwest, before being made into entertaining, colourful and creative floral arrangements by our talented local flower arrangers.

This years' Crediton Parish Church Flower Festival is entitled 'In Our Element'.

If you want to see whats in church this year, and how the flower arrangers interpret the elements of earth, air, fire and water the Festival opens at 10.30am on Saturday 2nd June and continues until 5pm Thursday 7th June.

Admission and parking is free, there is a bus stop outside the church and close to Crediton station on the Tarka Line.

Hot and cold refreshments are available in the Boniface Centre, where the Newton St Cyres Art Group will display and sell their work.

During the Festival there will be an opportunity to visit the bell tower and historic Governors Room. On Saturday there will be a concert 'Elements of Music' at 7.30pm in aid of the Holy Cross Music Endowment Fund.

The evening service on Sunday will be a Songs of Praise at 6pm and the Crediton Town Band will provide a rousing finale with a concert at 7pm on Wednesday.

All proceeds from the Festival go to the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of this fine 15th Century Grade 1 listed building, thought by some to be one of the finest parish churches in Devon.
