When she was eight, stuck with domestically violent teenage parents, Hannah Jackson moved objects in her space to cope.

Forty years later and she has many varied case histories and songs to match her stories.

And she will be sharing them on July 13 at the Exeter Phoenix (8pm).

During her performance, you can choose chapters you want to hear from her book or bring a room sketch, photo or small object and find out how to make your space move your mind.

In Homes - Make Your Space Move Your Mind, with a humorous twist, Hannah tells real-life stories of the ordinary, and analyses the famous (Jobs, Emin, Elton and Unplugging the Kardashians).

As a video testimonial on her website says: “Hannah uses common sense that isn’t so common.”

She advises on teenage angst, gay homes, addictions, post-natal depression, a dog-lover gone too far, a black family woman damaged by white supremacy, knife crime, etc. Hannah explains how issues show up in ornaments/space/pictures and furniture then suggests simple, free, self-help structures (Homes Circles).

Adding to the mix are 18 original pop songs by some of Britain’s best 18-30 unsigned artistes (& one sung by Hannah) to complement the stories and make the activities whizz by.

So, creator of a concept, writer, helper, singer, yogi, poet, cleaner, cook, performer, mother to four sons. You can visit Hannah’s site at www.homesauthor.com
