This year’s exciting annual Exeter Charity Motorbike Show is on Sunday 6 August. Everyone is welcome, whether you ride a motorbike or just fancy a fun afternoon out.

This is the fourth year the event has happened. There will be hundreds of motorbikes of all types from trikes and cruisers to sports bikes and the more vintage two wheeled machines  turning up to help raise money for charity. The show takes place at the Queen’s Head pub, 270 Pinhoe Road, Exeter, EX4 7JQ from 1pm to 5pm.

As part of the event there will be live music from local bands Old Skool Rox and Klassika, a free kid’s bouncy castle, and a barbeque, full bar, tea and coffee available. There’s also a charity raffle to win some great prizes including a brand new helmet and a top both donated by Speed Superbikes in Marsh Barton, Exeter and other fantastic prizes donated by Bridge Motorcycles in Exeter, Motorcycle Travel Shop in Paignton, Trago2Wheels near Newton Abbot and Treen Motors in Crediton.

The pub landlord and local motorbikers are holding the day to raise as much money as possible for two very worthy causes. The first is Exeter Hospiscare, who help care for local people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. The second is the British Biker Relief Foundation, support motorcyclists who suffer serious and life changing injuries, and also they also help their families. Admission to the show is £3 per bike, all of which goes to the charities. Entry is free for pedestrians.

The motorbikes will be judged and the best ones in six categories will receive a special glass laser cut trophies presented by the Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Ms Lesley Robinson, to take home and display with pride. She will also be judging her very own special ‘Lord Mayor’s Award’ which she will present to her favourite motorbike.

Landlord of the Queen’s Head, Sean Kelly said: “I am really proud to be able to host this annual event. Every year I am really impressed with the amount of bikers that come from far and wide help us raise a lot of money for two very worthy charities. I would urge everyone to come along whether you ride a motorbike or not and join in the fun afternoon.
