University of Exeter Business School accredited by prestigious international body
Following a rigorous assessment process, the University of Exeter Business School has joined an elite group of international management educators accredited by EQUIS. It becomes one of fewer than 150 Schools worldwide to gain this accreditation, placing it in the top 1% of business schools globally.
EQUIS is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. EQUIS is run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and its fundamental objective, is to raise the standard of management education worldwide. As the largest international network association in the field of management development, the EFMD network includes almost 800 institutional members and reaches over 25,000 management development professionals from academia, business, public service and consultancy across 80 countries worldwide.

EQUIS assesses institutions as a whole - not just degree programmes but all the activities of the institution, including research, e-learning units, executive education provision and community outreach.
It looks for a balance between high academic quality and the professional relevance provided by close interaction with the corporate world. A strong interface with the world of business is, therefore, as much a requirement as a strong research potential. EQUIS attaches particular importance to the creation of an effective learning environment that favours the development of students’ managerial and entrepreneurial skills, and fosters their sense of global responsibility. Institutions that are accredited by EQUIS must demonstrate not only high general quality in all dimensions of their activities, but also a high degree of internationalisation.
