Exeter School Chemists are bright sparks

Upper Sixth pupils at Exeter School took part in the Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad with four Silver and eight Bronze prizes awarded.

The international competition was the 48th UK Chemistry Olympiad.

Head of Chemistry Richard Tear said this year's competition was extremely challenging.

"We are delighted by the performance of our pupils," he said.

Well done to Silver Award winners Robbie Bell, Toby De Mendonça, Suraj Gandhi and Samuel Thomas and Bronze Award winners Abi Pelling, George Hoult, Luke Malone, Rebecca Richardson, Elspeth Mabin, Henry Riddle, Peter Naylor and Hannah Withers.
