Exeter College ‘FE College of the Year’ Finalist in 2019 Tes FE Awards

Exeter College is a finalist for the coveted title of ‘FE College of the Year’ in the national 2019 Tes FE Awards.

The most outstanding institutions and individuals that the FE sector has to offer have been recognised in the shortlist for the 2019 Tes (Times Educational Supplement) FE Awards.

As well as been shortlisted for the FE College of the Year title, the college is also a finalist for the professional services team of the year award.

John Laramy, Exeter College Principal and Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted that Exeter College has been shortlisted for College of the Year, by the Tes (Times Educational Supplement).  This recognition caps off yet another record year, with our students achieving their best set of results, ever. 

“I would like to congratulate the staff and students and thank all of the employers and partners who work with us.”

The news caps off a record breaking year for Ofsted outstanding Exeter College, cementing its regional and national reputation.

Just some highlights have included its best ever academic results, record progression to high tariff universities, and being named national Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) FE College of the Year.

Tes FE editor Stephen Exley said: “Excellent practice exists right across the further education sector, and those shortlisted for the Tes FE Awards are the cream of the crop. Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of entries.

“We had more entries for this year’s categories than ever before, and the standard was higher than ever. To be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement.”

The winners of the Tes FE Awards will be revealed at a high profile gala awards ceremony in London in March 2019.
