Blundell's School is delighted to announce another set of excellent GCSE results, which once again exceed the national average despite the recent climate of changing educational pressures.

Once again 50% of all grades were at A and A* level, and this year we saw our pass rate rise to a terrific 98%.

Almost a quarter of the year group gained 8 or more A* and A grades and the following have excelled in gaining more than 9 A*/A grades: Victor Mills, Sebastian Albery, Jack Klinkenberg, Marcus Lloyd, Cara Read, Grace Francis, Greg Kitson, Emily Squibb, Will Spencer, Ben Dawson, Joshua Huggett, Sam Kennaugh, Helen Jackman, Lafite Lo, Max Baker, Luke Simpson, Will Hall-Tomkin and Alistair Johnson-Ferguson. The top performing student, with an outstanding clean sweep of 12 A* grades, was Victor Mills.

The Head, Nicola Huggett said “I am once again excited and extremely pleased with this set of GCSE results which are a fitting reward for the hard work of our Year 11 pupils.

“There is no doubt Blundellians understand the need to focus on our academic dimension, but our pupils are also performing at an equally high level on the sports field, musically and in the arts.

“To have achieved such strong examination results is all the more commendable given the current educational climate and I am very proud of them and grateful to their committed teachers who go every extra mile to see them succeed.

“Next week we look forward to welcoming a large group of new students to join this talented year group in our thriving and dynamic Sixth Form. I know they will enjoy the exciting opportunities that lie ahead and they will be more than well prepared for life beyond Blundell’s when the time comes.”
