Do you have a passion for the countryside? Are you interested in developing your skills in land management and community involvement?

The National Trust East Devon ranger team is offering volunteer ranger placements for up to a year to help them manage 755 hectares of coast and countryside. Based at the ranger’s yard in Branscombe, you will be working on a variety of habitats and sites within East Devon and along the Jurassic Coast. The role will include footpath maintenance, woodland management, working with community and volunteer groups, and assisting with events. As well as on-the-job training, there will be the opportunity to gain relevant qualifications.

Sue Myers, National Trust Ranger said: "This is a really great opportunity for someone with an interest in conservation and the local environment, and who lives in the East Devon area, to gain training and experience whilst helping to protect this beautiful area."

If you are interested in this position and would like more details, please contact Sue Myers on 01297 680507, or e-mail sue.myers@nationaltrust.org.uk. Apply with a CV and covering letter to Sue Myers. The closing date for applications is 9am on Friday 10 January 2014; and the interview date is Friday 17 January.
