Vertu MINI Exeter drives support for North Devon Hospice

Vertu MINI Exeter is supporting North Devon Hospice, as part of MINI’s Local MINI Hero initiative, which encourages dealerships to actively support and celebrate their local communities.

As part of this special partnership, Vertu MINI Exeter will be sponsoring and attending two major fundraising events for the hospice this year – its recent Nightwalk, and the North Devon Marathon, which is set to take place on 29th June. Attendees can look out for two stunning MINI vehicles on display at each event, as the dealership showcases its commitment to the cause and community.

WiFi SPARK raises £2,000 for Rowcroft Hospice

WiFi SPARK is pleased to announce that it has raised a whopping £2,000 on behalf of Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay.

The Exeter based WiFi and analytics provider organised a range of activities to raise as much money as possible for the charity, including: a cake sale, raffles, the sleepwalk 10-mile challenge, fancy dress days where members of the team dressed up for Halloween and Christmas and a tuck shop. Buckfast Abbey is giving thanks for the thousandth anniversary of its foundation through the setting up of the Millennium Fund to support Devon hospice charities. All proceeds from the Millennium events will go towards the fund, which will then be split between Rowcroft Hospice, Hospiscare, North Devon Hospice, Children’s Hospice South West and St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth.

A classic boost for cancer support in Devon

The 2017 Classics Galore! concert - Exeter’s very own night at the proms - raised a record sum of £21,000 for FORCE Cancer Charity.

To celebrate, sponsors, performers, organisers and representatives from the charity gathered at the FORCE Support and Information Centre for the cheque presentation.

Classics Galore! has been staged at the University of Exeter Great Hall every two years since 2007.

Profits from the tenth anniversary of this hugely popular musical extravaganza take the total raised for FORCE to nearly £90,000.

Charity funding for adapted trike sees disabled 11-year-old cycle for first time since brain injury

An eleven-year-old boy, who was a keen cyclist before he suffered a severe brain haemorrhage over three years ago, is now able to ride a bike for the first time since his injury after a children’s charity provided funding for a specially adapted trike.

Jimmy, who lives in Exeter, suffered a spontaneous bleed to the brain after a family day out. Despite his family being told there was little chance of survival, Jimmy pulled through but as a result suffered devastating injuries. A Devon-based care home’s annual Christmas party had a little added festive spirit in a bid to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

The Rise Care Home decided to go all out with their festivities with friends, family and lots of grandchildren enjoying the day. FORCE launches new partnership with Princesshay

FORCE Cancer Charity is all set to launch a new partnership with one of Exeter’s most iconic shopping and dining destinations.

FORCE has been chosen as Princesshay’s Charity of the Year for 2018.
