An Exeter-based charity held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open their two new zero carbon energy ‘Satellite’ Landlord Supported Living Houses.

Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) has received £5,000 to help fund a family suite for critically ill or end of life patients at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities. ELF provides transport, accommodation and guidance services to families affected by blood cancers and blood disorders. Our huge thanks go to everyone who made our recent fundraising and awareness day in Exeter a great success. Volunteers from the Wilko, Exeter, Bovis Homes SW and the Cranbrook Macmillan Fundraising Group collected over £1,400 from generous Exeter shoppers in the High Street and the volunteers at the cancer information tent, many of whom were Macmillan healthcare professionals, were able to provide information to help people at a difficult time
