Devon charities announced as partners for huge weekend of live music

Four Devon-based charities have been selected to be official partners for the county’s biggest music event this summer.

TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham runs for four nights from Thursday June 25 to Sunday June 28, featuring headline shows from vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims, seven-time GRAMMY winner Alanis Morissette and global superstar Lewis Capaldi.

Each night will see a local charity given the opportunity to have a team of fundraisers on site and for 2026 Live At Powderham will support Devon-based charities who make a big impact in the communities they serve....

Artists' remembrance tribute to support armed forces in need

British artist Nic Joly has raised £45,400.00 for The Royal British Legion through sales of ‘Never Forgotten’ – a signed limited edition miniature sculpture released to commemorate the WWI Centenary.

Drawing on the ultimate symbol of Remembrance and hope, the poppy, the poignant piece was released in July 2014 ahead of the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.

The edition size is 1,566 – representing each day the war was fought – with each individual sculpture labelled on the back with a unique piece of information about that day during the Great War....

RNRMC nominated for best fundraiser at the Payroll Giving Excellence Awards

The successful work of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity’s (RNRMC) dedicated fundraising team has resulted in a nomination for Best Fundraiser at the National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards 2015, which will be held on November 17th at the House of Lords in London.

The RNRMC has seen Payroll Giving donations increase an average of 8 per cent a year since 2010, helping it achieve its aim which is to support Serving Personnel, veterans and their families, for life. AnTech celebrate Wear it Pink Day

Suppliers and customers noticed something different about the AnTech team last Friday as they wore pink to support ‘Wear It Pink’ Day, a national campaign to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.

Law firm raises £2,000 in Will Fortnight

Solicitors at Beviss & Beckingsale raised two grand in two weeks by writing and amending wills for clients in exchange for a donation to local charity Hospiscare.

The Honiton-­based law firm raised a total of £2,004 to help care for patients living with a terminal illness in Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

Lawyers at Beviss & Beckingsale’s office in Honiton raised £1,044, a further £500 came from the Chard office, £385 from staff in Axminster and £75 from Seaton.

A festive motorbike cavalcade with a special difference will take place just a couple of weeks before Christmas this year – and YOU could be part of it.

Horror as young lawyers jump off building...

A brave group from leading South West law firm Stephens Scown pushed themselves over the edge today in a Halloween-themed abseil raising funds for Age UK Exeter.

Six lawyers from the firm’s Young Marketing Group (YMG) took part in the hair-raising 80ft abseil off the edge of Princesshay’s NCP car park, raising over £750 in the process.
