A Sweet Success: Eden Motor Group Raises Over £100,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and home-baked treats filled the air across Eden Motor Group as our teams recently rejoined forces to support the vital work of Macmillan Cancer Support through the iconic Macmillan Coffee Morninginitiative. But for Eden, it was more than just a morning—it was a concerted, group-wide effort that celebrated a significant milestone: over £108,000 raised since we began our coffee mornings twelve years ago, so we have smashed our target of £100K!
Challenges and Cake Galore
Our dealerships transformed into hubs of fundraising activity, showcasing the passion and dedication of our colleagues.
The General Managers led the charge, embracing a range of personal challenges to maximise donations. From gruelling marathons to the bold and brave act of head shaving, their commitment inspired us all and certainly got people reaching for their wallets.
Alongside these momentous personal challenges, our teams perfected their baking skills, contributing a variety of wonderful cakes that made the coffee mornings a delicious success. The atmosphere was further brightened by a dress-down day, adding a relaxed and fun element to the fundraising efforts and encouraging even more participation.
Executive Team's Epic Cycle
Perhaps the most monumental feat of fundraising came from our Executive Committee (Exec Com) team. They took on an incredible challenge, completing a sponsored cycle spanning over 70 miles! This epic journey saw them visit several of our dealerships en route, battling the distance to show their unwavering support for Macmillan Cancer Support. It was a massive physical undertaking that demonstrated a deep commitment to the cause.
