Family Law Chooses Citizens Advice Exeter as Charity of the Year

The Family Law Company has announced that it will be supporting leading local advice charity Citizens Advice Exeter over the coming year.

The company’s branches in Exeter, Plymouth and Taunton will all be fundraising for the charity, through events such as skittles, bake offs and cream teas.

Donna Hart, a Director of the law firm and Trustee for Citizens Advice Exeter was instrumental in the choice of the charity. She said:

“I have been a Trustee at Citizens Advice Exeter since January 2015. Many people who are turning to Citizens Advice for help have family-related problems, meaning I can use my family law experience in the role.

“I’m a massive supporter of the work the charity does; it is an invaluable resource for local people who sometimes don’t have anywhere else to turn.”

Citizens Advice Exeter provides free, confidential and independent advice for thousands of people every year with everything from money issues to problems at work and housing to consumer rights.

Steve Barriball, Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Exeter said: “I am delighted with the news that The Family Law Company has agreed to adopt us as their charity of the year for the forthcoming year.”

As well as Citizens Advice Exeter, teams of solicitors will continue fundraising for additional causes close to their hearts, including local domestic abuse and cancer support charities.
