Local businesses are supporting Hospiscare’s Easter Egg-stravaganza by raffling luxury Easter Eggs to raise money to help people living with a terminal illness in Exeter, mid and east Devon.

Many businesses have already started raffling their Eggs, including the University of Exeter.

Alison Ramsden, Communication Manager for Campus Services at the University of Exeter said: “We are delighted to be supporting Hospiscare with their Easter Egg-stravaganza.  We have seven eggs out in total across our campuses in various locations from our Family Centre to student residences and hope to raise as much money as possible.

‘’This is our third year of working in partnership with Hospiscare and we hope to raise at least £15,000 by 2015 through a whole host of activities, from the Easter Egg raffle through to our staff running half marathons and taking part in Hospiscare’s Sahara Trek Challenge.”
Sainsburys in Pinhoe, Tesco Express in Exmouth as well as several small businesses across Devon have donated eggs to the campaign.

Community Fundraiser Susie Healey said: “We’re inviting anyone from groups of friends and families to offices, factories, schools, pubs, restaurants, retail outlets and hair salons, to get involved with the Easter Extravaganza.

“Hospiscare will supply people with posters, a lucky squares board and a luxury Easter egg. In return we are asking people to buy the £1 lucky squares to be in with the chance of winning some delicious chocolate this Easter.”

To get your workplace, school or friends involved all you have to do is sell the lucky squares and send the money into Hospiscare, Hospiscare even provide you with a delicious egg to raffle.
