RIM to unveil new BlackBerry phones on Jan. 30.

TORONTO (AP) — Research In Motion said Monday that it will hold an official launch event for its new BlackBerry 10 smartphones on Jan. 30. The new phones are seen as critical to RIM's survival.

The Waterloo, Ontario-based company said Monday details on the much-delayed smartphones and their availability will be announced at the event.

Exeter construction firm Mulberry has seen significant business growth in the last two months driven by poor weather and an enhancement to their status as the preferred supplier in the region to Crawfords Repairnet, the UK’s largest loss adjusters and building repair network company .

UK studying claims HSBC accounts used by criminals

LONDON (AP) — Britain's revenue and customs service is examining allegations that criminals may have used offshore accounts with HSBC, Europe's biggest bank, to launder money, it confirmed Friday.

Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs said in a statement that it had been contacted about a leaked list of the bank's customers, and accusations in a British newspaper that the clients include drug dealers and gun runners.

FSCS to pay out for poor advice on Arch Cru and Keydata

The Financial Service Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has opened the floodgates for consumers to claim against 16 financial advisers (including Financial & Taxation Consultants based in Exeter) some of which were involved in Keydata and Arch Cru scandals.
