Everys Solicitors in Exmouth has begun a succession plan to ensure this branch of the firm is left in safe hands.

Long-serving Everys legal expert Clive Dixon has worked at the Exmouth branch as a qualified solicitor for 44 years and actually started his training with the firm’s predecessor, W Linford Brown & Sons, in 1964. A general practitioner, Mr Dixon will be reducing his hours in the near future but Everys has already put plans into action to ensure a smooth transition of his caseload.

The UK’s economic recovery appears to have strengthened during the third quarter of 2013, based on a wide range of indicators, according to a review by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

UK economy grows by 0.8%, according to GDP figures

Figures released on Friday (25 October) by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show ecomonic growth of 0.8% in the third quarter of the year.

The gross domestic product (GDP), which is the main indicator of economic growth, saw an increase of 0.8% between July and September compared to the previous quarter - the best quarterly performance since 2010.

Telecoms staff protect themselves against flu with a “win-win” immunisation programme

South West Communications Group staff have been invited to take part in a company-wide immunisation programme to protect themselves against the flu virus this winter.

Exeter based Absolute PR and Marketing has been appointed as the communications consultancy for the region’s largest combined environmental and recreational charity, the South West Lakes Trust.

A local Exeter restaurant, Harry’s on Longbrook Street, has secured its future through a mortgage from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking after its leasehold was due to expire.
