Dash Express, a division of The Dash Group and part of The APC delivery network - the UK’s largest independent parcel delivery network - has announced further expansion in the South West with the opening of a new, larger site located in Cullompton. A new renewable energy league table reveals which counties have the most solar panels installed across England and Wales. The South West comes out top, with Cornwall taking first place and Devon hot on its heels. The renewables industry is an important source of jobs, with more than 10,000 in the South West, including 2,800 in the solar sector. Police warn businesses of magazine scam

Small business owners have been warned about a telephone scam offering cheap or heavily discounted advertising in local newspapers and magazines.

Devon and Cornwall Police say scammers have targeted at least three firms in North Devon during the last week. Each time, regular advertisers were offered discounted advertising space in a sister publication and asked for credit card details over the phone.

Leading South West law firm Stephens Scown LLP is warning companies and limited liability partnerships (LLPs) that they must complete their register of Persons with Significant Control (PSC) by 6 April – with failure to undertake this being a criminal offence committed by the Company and its controlling officers.

Exeter Business Survey Results March 2016

The latest Exeter Business Survey carried out by the Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Industry has indicated that business is in the city is flourishing.

62% of businesses are reporting that they have seen their sales figures rise this last quarter. This is the highest record of increase in sales for 2 years.

Businesses in Exeter are also recording the best figures for investment in the last quarter since the commencement of the recession in 2008. 89% of businesses report that they have invested in the last quarter and are still planning to keep investing in the near future...

Trinity Fire & Security Systems is increasing its presence at Heathrow Airport with two contracts covering maintenance and a replacement installation, worth in excess of £15 million.
