The Sowton branch of Devondale Electrical has recently been given a makeover, with new counters, displays and information screens.

The refurbishment is the latest stage in Devondale’s company-wide rebranding initiative.

Branch Manager Mark Richards said: “Everyone, including our customers, is pleased with the finished result; the new look is brighter and fresher.”

Brexit having 'negligible effect' on housing market

House price growth remained resilient in July although key indicators covering, agreed sales and new instructions all remained negative in the South West, according to the latest RICS UK Residential Market Survey.

New business slumps in SW post-EU Referendum

Private sector firms in the South West increased employment despite a decline in business activity in the month following the EU Referendum, according to the latest Lloyds Bank Regional PMI.

The data, which is the first indicator of regional business activity since the ‘leave’ vote, revealed that business activity in the region has gone from growth to contraction in July. New business orders also fell at their sharpest rate since 2009.

Griffin Chartered Accountants has taken occupancy of the historic Globe building in Honiton, giving it a £30,000 makeover along the way.

Griffin founders, Misty Nickells and Graham Higgins took the plunge after working from a home office for the past 18 months.
