Devondale Electrical Wholesalers has been working with the RSPB in the creation of a new training and education centre.

Sited on the Exmouth Road near Aylesbeare, the log cabin is an impressive, sustainable building made from trees felled at a nearby reserve.

It was the vision of East Devon Nature Reserve Warden Toby Taylor, who has been working to make the concept into a reality since 2012.

RGB Building Supplies has been named on Real Business magazine’s Hot 100 list which reveals the fastest growing private businesses in the UK.

Based on turnover and profit growth over a four-year period, to make the list a company had to achieve sales of more than £10m and post an EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) of more than £1m. With a turnover of £54.3m and EBITDA of £2.1m, RGB is the only Devon based company to make it on the Hot 100 list.

The first quarter of 2017 has seen a boost of confidence in the South West with hiring intentions of +8% according to ManpowerGroup, the world’s workforce experts. An 'after feeling' is felt around Martin’s Lane, following the reopening of the passageway after the Royal Clarence fire in October.

Devon & Somerset Law Society (DASLS) hosted an Admissions Ceremony to welcome this year’s newly qualified solicitors.
