Tips for holiday cottage businesses

As the summer holiday trade begins in earnest, owners of furnished holiday lettings are invited to a seminar at Darts Farm in Topsham on Wednesday 16 July to hear some top tips from a panel of experts.

Topics at the seminar which is jointly hosted by chartered accountants Francis Clark and property agents Stags will include an update on topical tax issues for holiday lettings including capital allowances, relief for borrowing costs and a VAT update presented by former tax writer of the year John Endacott.

Other issues on the agenda include Social Media Insights for 2014, improving customer relations, an update on market conditions for the sale of holiday businesses and tips to maximise your selling price. There will also be a discussion on marketing and increasing revenue.

In addition to Francis Clark partner John Endacott, presenter include Alistair Handyside of Holiday Cottage Advice Ltd, Simon Cooper of Stags and Stuart Devlin of E-Strategy.
