Rising star joins Exeter Classpeople

Education recruitment specialists, Classpeople are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Katie Holdsworth as Consultant in their Exeter branch, strengthening the team of education recruitment professionals in the South West.

With a passion for recruitment, Katie Holdsworth, brings not only enthusiasm but dedication into her new role, where she will work closely with secondary schools in the Exeter catchment region to recruit for supply, long term and permanent positions.

Having worked in educational recruitment for the past two years, the transition to Classpeople was an exciting new challenge for Katie. She commented: "I always enjoyed school and wanted a career that was associated with the sector; I chose education recruitment as it gives me the opportunity to support lots of different schools and teachers playing on my strengths and my passion for education."

With her main area of responsibility comprising of secondary schools and SEN; covering the area from North Devon all the way through to the Plymouth area, Katie will utilise her wealth of knowledge to recruit the best teachers. She added: "Having experience from early years through to further education really is a bonus, it means that I can find the most suitable teachers to suit a particular setting and have the satisfaction of being able to make a difference."

When asked what really drew her towards Classpeople, Katie's instant response was the fact that they were set up by a qualified teacher who was keen to move away from the ‘bum on seat' approach. Being set up by a qualified teacher enables us to offer regular CPD sessions and ongoing support for all teachers"

Katie will report to Classpeople's Exeter Branch Manager, Sam Leach, who commented: "Katie is an enthusiastic and passionate individual, but she has a clear vision of what she wants to do with her future at Classpeople and is already demonstrating her skill. Although she has only been with us since the New Year, she has already signed seven new schools to her roster and has made a deep impression on the company already.
