InnovateWest invites ambitious entrepreneurs to Dartington Hall on 29th January 2014 to discover the radical business management methodology 'lean start-up'.

Ready! Fire! Aim! is an intense, hands-on, one-day workshop that demonstrates the strength of doing over deliberating and experimenting over estimating.

Utilising the latest thinking, local case studies and the power of peer-to-peer collaboration participants will acquire lean start-up skills, increase business awareness and take-away resources to use back at the coalface.

Devon County Council have supported the programme enabling InnovateWest to be appointed to deliver these events to aspiring entrepreneurs in the South West.

Lean Start-Up is an exciting and widely acclaimed methodology for moving fast within a start-up or new business division. It’s about getting out there and trying things, talking to customers, learning, measuring and evolving the business value offerings as you go.

The event, already successfully delivered for Business Advisers in December, is designed and delivered by InnovateWest, with guest speakers including Crowdcube, Lifedge and Ben Travers a leading local Intellectual Property lawyer.

There are only 20 places available for this event, applications to attend should be made online via: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VSVQ2NF

Cabinet member for economy and growth Andrew Leadbetter says; "Devon’s Entrepreneurs and ambitious small businesses are the lifeblood of Devon's economy. Many new businesses begin with great ideas but fail to reach their full potential or worse still, fail outright. This represents a huge waste both for individuals involved and for the economy as a whole. The Lean Start-Up movement is fast gaining momentum in the UK as it offers a methodology for simultaneously de-risking new ventures and driving business success.  It's free to attend and could provide the necessary impulse to propel your business forward.”

Participants will also be able to meet with and hear from Christina Hunnings | GAIN Business Engagement Services Manager (see www.Gaininbusiness.com).

GAIN is the Growth, Acceleration and Investment Network. It was founded by Plymouth University, Plymouth City Council and Tamar Science Park to accelerate the creation, growth and investment in high quality businesses and ideas to create wealth and jobs in the South West.
