Flutter Entertainment, an online gaming giant in the industry, has announced its plan to launch a sustainability initiative called the Positive Impact Plan. The Plan will provide support to all customers, staff, and communities for a safer and more diverse gambling strategy towards inclusion, community initiatives and environmental impact.
Flutter Entertainment is not new to the gambling world. In fact, it is one of the biggest software developers out there, offering a number of casino game options at various casinos in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The brands under Flutter, such as Betfair, are known to offer various bonus features and gamblers can find the best casino promo codes at sites like bonus-codes.com. In addition to their online division, Flutter also own Sportsbet in Australia and FanDuel in their division in the United States.
The Plan will focus on three main areas – ‘Play Well, Work Better, Do More’. The first area, Play Well, aims to ensure a safer overall gambling experience for all customers at Flutter instead of simply getting involved when problem gambling takes place. Players will be provided with more safer gambling information and support throughout their journey. The Play Well metrics are said to be rolled out in 2022.
The area of Work Better will focus on diversity efforts. Flutter announced that its aim is to have 40% of its top leadership roles occupied by women by 2026. This comes after Flutter announced its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative in 2021.
Do More will have Flutter Entertainment work with and fund community initiatives in areas of wellbeing, sports, health, and tech. The strategy will also focus on Flutter having an environmental impact by setting sustainability targets for 2022 that fall in line with Flutter’s Science Based Targets initiative.
Flutter Entertainment’s CEO, Peter Jackson, claims that ‘Our Positive Impact Plan is a comprehensive and challenging strategy which demonstrates that Flutter is setting the agenda for positive change. We are committed to contributing positively to our customers, colleagues, and the communities in which we operate.’
He goes on to say that ‘this plan builds on the strong foundations laid by each of our divisions, leveraging our global scale and positioning us at the forefront of meaningful change.’
In December 2021, Flutter overhauled its board-level risk committee. The company renamed it the risk and sustainability committee and appointed Atif Rafiq as a member, MGM Resorts and McDonald’s veteran.
