Spaces selling out fast for Development Conference

PLACES are selling out fast for Exeter PA Network’s annual development conference which offers training and support to key office staff across the south west.

The event offers training, development, and networking for executive assistants, personal assistants, secretaries and administrators and is open to attendees from across the country. It follows the success of the network’s inaugural conference last year, which was run in partnership with the Bristol and Cardiff PA Networks.

It takes place on Friday, October 13 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Bradley Stoke, Bristol, which is easily accessible whether traveling by train or car.

Kim Glover, founder of the Exeter PA Network, said ‘We have seen delegate numbers grow this year, which is fantastic. I think this is a reflection of the quality of the event produced last year.

‘In Exeter we are seeing growth and prosperity, and we strongly feel that well-rounded and developed admin professionals underpin this success and will contribute massively in achieving growth ambitions going forward, which is why this conference is so valuable and important. This full day event is jam-packed with learning and development, with four fascinating keynote speakers, opportunities for networking and industry related exhibitors.’

Speakers include:
• Simon Crumplin of Secrutiny, who has over 20 years’ experience within the cybersecurity marketplace, and will explain the latest trends and how businesses can minimise risk.
• Kate Doodson of Cosmic Ethical IT, digital experts based in Honiton, Devon, who will take a deep dive look at Trello, which is a great productivity and online collaboration tool.
• Andy Workman, clinical hypnotherapist and motivational speaker, will be speaking about effectively managing our mood and mindset, helping all attendees to maintain focus in their roles and be at the top of their game.
• Paul Vice, former Royal Marine Commando, will be sharing his incredible story of his service in Afghanistan in 2011, the catastrophic injuries he sustained and the victories that followed; a truly inspirational session demonstrating how determination and positive mental attitude can enable one to triumph even in the most difficult situations

Kim added: ‘Most conferences aimed at the admin profession take place in London and are often more than £300 for a place. We have aimed to make this affordable and regional. We can also offer advice for delegates on how to write and present a business case to request training.’

The Conference will take place on Friday, October 13 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Bradley Stoke, Bristol, 9am - 5pm. Registration is from 9am, although the main session will start at 9.45am, to accommodate traveling by train from destinations such as Exeter, Cardiff or London. The event will close around 5pm.

Early Bird tickets have sold out, full day tickets are priced at £149 for a full day’s learning, with lunch and refreshments included. To find out more about the conference and book a place visit www.exeterpanetwork.com/events or email hello@exeterpanetwork.com
