New head of tax appointed at leading chartered accountants

Multi-award-winning chartered accountants, Haines Watts with four offices located in Exeter, Crediton, Okehampton and Launceston, announce the appointment of Helen Gale as the new Head of Tax.

Helen who qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1995, deals with owner-managed businesses of various sizes.  In her new role based in Exeter, she is responsible for overseeing the tax department and all tax-related activities to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and providing clients with helpful information.

Helen said: “I was previously working at Haines Watts Bristol for over 12 years and am very happy to now be working in Exeter.”  She adds: “The tax department deals with all kinds of issues that business owners may bring to us, which are  many and varied, and some are extremely time pressured. There is no typical day, it’s very varied with lots of contact with clients and interpersonal relations across the South West offices and keeps us busy.”
