Healthcare and protection insurance specialist, The Exeter, has retained its Investors in People accreditation for the eighteenth year in succession. The Investors in People Standard seeks to highlight commitment to high performance through good people management in businesses. The Exeter met each of the nine key indicators of high performance, each with three underpinning themes, which The Investors in People Framework is organised around.

With its office based on the outskirts of Exeter and a staff count of nearly 130, The Exeter provides medical insurance and a range of other protection insurance products to customers across the country.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Commenting on the award, Andy Chapman, Chief Executive of The Exeter, said: “Organisations that meet the world-recognised Investors in People Standard reflect the very best in people management practices. We’re incredibly proud to have held this accreditation for over 18 years and are committed to driving further organic growth through diversification into the life insurance industry”.

“I am also deeply proud of our hard-working staff who have helped us achieve this award and often go above and beyond for our customers. We have always been highly committed to the training and development of our staff and we will continue to recruit highly skilled individuals who want to join us on our exciting next phase of growth in the coming period.”

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate The Exeter. Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. The Exeter should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
