St Luke’s new Accumulator Challenge pits Plymouth business brains in a dash for cash!

Take fifty pounds, the brightest of the local business community and add a healthy dash of competition.

Leave to raise for the month of October.

Serve the much-needed funds for the local hospice charity with a garnish of surprise.

St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth is cooking up a new challenge for the area’s business whizzes with the fast and furious Accumulator Challenge.

Starting off with £50, the local charity is throwing down the gauntlet to teams from local companies to auction, fundraise, invest, run and organise their way to the biggest profit in 30 days. With the amounts raised by each team updated in real time, and the winner only revealed at a November awards ceremony, it’s a great recipe for team building and entrepreneurial skills, with a bit of friendly rivalry on the side.

Lorna Damella, Corporate Fundraiser explained: “We were looking for a new idea to get our corporate friends involved and we think the element of competition of the Accumulator Challenge should be a great mix of fun and competitive spirit. Business has an important role in helping us raise the millions we need to support the community – we love to see them get stuck in and show us what they’re made of.”

Participants will be invited to a drinks reception in September to present their business plan and size up the competition. Once the teams are into October anything’s allowed as long as it’s legal and passes health and safety. The fundraising pack is full of ideas and support on publicising your involvement and the St Luke’s team (and your rivals) will be keeping a close eye on progress.

So, if you think you’ve got what it takes to come out on top then register
