Representatives from Google will be advising businesses on how to ensure they can stay compliant with the changes to data privacy law and be ready for the forthcoming removal of website cookies in 2023.

Hosted by Exeter-based paid media agency Launch, the breakfast event will be held on 19th May at the Hotel du Vin in Exeter (8:30 - 10:30am). Google, and other expert speakers, will provide a vital opportunity for businesses in the region to understand the changes to data capture, as consumers are given more control of their online presence, with financial fines for non-compliance.

Jaye Cowle, Managing Director at Launch, says: “This is an extremely important workshop for business owners and marketers. Microsoft will be in the room presenting on the changes that have happened, and how to adjust your marketing as a result. It is imperative that businesses understand how to responsibly track and engage with your customers in the future.”

In addition to representatives from Microsoft, there will be presentations from Launch’s Data Strategist Michael Patten, and Jon Payne from Bristol-based Hubspot experts Noisy Little Monkey. They will cover some alternative routes businesses can take as data visibility in digital marketing becomes an increasingly important and sensitive topic.

Launch is also running the breakfast event in Bristol on May 11th with Microsoft as the headline speaker.
