A recruitment business in Exeter picked up two major awards at a glittering ceremony held in London’s Globe Theatre.

The city’s branch of Berry Recruitment was presented with an ‘Achievement of Budget’ prize, marking its success in 2017.

The event was organised by Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) for its staff, of whom there are more than 200 across 36 branches nationwide.

Zoe Darnbrough from the Exeter branch was awarded with the hotly contested ‘Berry manager of the year’ award for her efforts leading the team.

The group’s annual awards evening was held in the replica of the Elizabethan playhouse on the banks of the Thames that is associated with Shakespeare.

The Exeter branch took to the stage to receive their awards from director Spencer Berry.

MD of the group, Chris Chown, congratulated the branch and said: “The Exeter team performed exceptionally well throughout the year.

“Strong reasons make strong actions and the team are highly motivated and work incredibly hard for their clients and their candidates, under great leadership from Zoe.

“The group as a whole enjoyed another successful year and we have started 2018 very positively.

“Unemployment remains very low nationally and operating in a competitive sector requires talented recruitment consultants to achieve success, and that is what we have across the group and in Exeter.”
