Education Recruitment Company Class People have won a national Recruiter Award for Best Temporary Agency of the Year.

The national awards ceremony took place last night at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, which celebrated outstanding achievements by agencies and in-house recruiters across the UK.

The supply agency, set up by a former Primary school teacher Lynis Bassett, undertook a restructure last year and has gone from strength to strength since.

Lynis Bassett, CEO of Class People, says: “We are over the moon to have won this award and be recognised for our hard work and commitment within the recruitment industry. We have a strong team and fantastic teaching staff who all contribute to the successes of Class People.

"Winning this award as a small business, up against a number of large international organisations, is something we are very proud of. As sponsors of the Best Micro Recruitment Agency of the Year award last night, we hope that the finalists will be inspired by our win and encourage them to not be afraid of taking a risk. For Class People, the risk paid off.”

The award follows Class People’s double win at the IRP Awards in December, as they fought off competition for ‘Best Company to Work For’ and ‘Best Newcomer’, which was won by Ellis Thorne.

Class People provide supply teachers, teaching assistants, SEN staff and early year’s practitioners to schools and settings across the South West.
