Additional divorce and finance specialist for The Family Law Company

Laura Sellick-Tague has joined the divorce and finance team at The Family Law Company, bringing further knowhow to the specialist firm.

After completing her studies at the University of the West of England, Laura began concentrating on family law. She moved back to her home county of Devon in 2011 and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2018.

Laura learnt of an opening at The Family Law Company after meeting Director Donna Hart at a networking event in Exeter. Donna said:

“I immediately knew Laura would fit perfectly into our company ethos and approach to family matters.

“She genuinely wants to help clients to find a way through the divorce process with the least amount of stress, which is at the heart of what we do.”

Working at The Family Law Company means Laura can further develop her own areas of expertise, which include working with high net worth clients such as doctors and armed forces personnel.

Of her own qualities, Laura says: “I prefer to tailor my approach to each client on an individual basis. While some clients want a lot of support and hand-holding, others prefer having more control; it’s important that a family lawyer understands the type of service each client needs.”

Laura is also Chair of the Devon branch of YRes, Resolution’s network of family law professionals at the start of their careers. Resolution is an organisation of 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals in England and Wales, who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters.
